About Us

Background

Sisters, author Edie Vogel and illustrator Sarah Broesder were born and raised in Livingston, Montana. Their experiences growing up and exploring the great outdoors together with their family inspire their many stories and characters. Both graduates of Montana State University- Bozeman. Edie holds a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and Library Media Science. Sarah holds a Bachelor's of Science in Agriculture and studied Fine Arts at MSU-Billings.

Author Edie Vogel works as a teacher-librarian and lives with her family on their farm in eastern Montana.  She enjoys all things outdoors with her husband, two children and rescue dog, Lexi.

Sarah Broesder is an artist and mother of five, raising her family in north-central Montana.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and children, her many hobbies and serves as a sign language interpreter.

My Writing Roots

My love of writing began back in high school. Taking both poetry and creative writing classes challenged me to put my thoughts and ideas to paper. I was hooked. I always thought that maybe someday I would pursue writing and publish my stories.

I have made a habit of journaling and writing down stories, ideas and poems as they come to me. I wrote Abby the Antelope  many years ago while teaching high school full time and I convinced Sarah to illustrate my book.

After having this goal on the shelf for far too long, I decided I'd better start working on this little dream of mine to publish my books. Now here we are.

We are so excited to be working with ARK House Kids and finally sharing our work.

About Me

I love books.

So much so I have have carved out a career in education that allows me to be surrounded by them. The library is my happy place. After 15 years in the high school classroom, I made the change to school librarian.

I am honored to share my love of books and reading with children everyday.

When I am not at home writing, reading or raising my family, I work as a librarian and reading specialist.

"each of you should use whatever gifts you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of god's grace in its various forms. if anyone speaks, they should do so as one who serves, they should do so with the strength god provides, so that in all things god may be praised through christ Jesus."

1 Peter 4-11
